What is a PPEC?
A PPEC is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Facility that offers child care for children with disabilities and special medical needs. Our team is comprised of a board-certified pediatrician, registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and licensed therapists specializing in physical, occupational, speech, respiratory, and behavioral therapies.
We provide non-residential short term, long term or intermittent medical care to children with medically complex conditions. Licensed by AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration).
Who Pays for PPEC Services
Our services are 100% covered by those who are Medicaid eligible. Other insurances may also be eligible- give us a call and we will help you sort through it! We do our best to handle any and all paperwork to keep from burdening busy parents.
Who is Eligible for PPEC Services
Our PPECs treat patients with a wide variety of conditions that require skilled nursing care, where a doctor’s prescription has been made for PPEC services. Our patients range from newborns to patients under 21 years of age.
