8:30 AM: Your child arrives at First Kid’s PPEC and is greeted by our nursing team to perform their daily evaluation of patient vitals to monitor their ongoing progress.

9:00 AM: Breakfast time! Our patients receive a nutritious breakfast that is tailored to their health needs and is based on what we know they do and do not like.

This is a time that they also get to enjoy some of their favorite cartoons.

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Class and therapy are in session!

Depending on the needs of our patients and the plan of care that our nursing and medical team develop in coordination with you and your child’s pediatrician or specialist- patients will receive varying types of physical, occupational, respiratory, and / or behavioral therapies.
For those patients that are classroom ready, we have our special education certified teacher provide instruction- ranging from mathematics, grammar, reading, and history!

12:00 PM: Lunchtime! Our team prepares another delicious and nutritious meal based on the dietary needs and tastes of our patients.

12:30 PM – 1:15 PM: Nap / Play Time

Depending on the ages and needs of our patients, they will either be settled into our cozy cots for a short nap or will go to our play area for a little after lunch fun.

1:15 PM – 4:00 PM: Therapy is Back in Session!

Afternoon rounds of therapy are held for patients that are either joining us after school or for patients that require additional therapy in addition to the morning session. As needed, we may also have additional teachings in the afternoon- again- always based on the needs of our patients.

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Snack and Play Time!

Rounds of therapy and schooling can be exhausting for our patients- it’s time to enjoy a nutritious snack while watching some cartoons and getting some play time in to end the day.

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Time to Go Home!

Our patients have their vitals checked one last time, have daily report cards created for you, and are escorted back home to you by our nursing staff in our medical grade vehicles. What a full day!
