At our First Kid’s PPEC locations in Florida, we provide our patients with personalized, high-quality care while also providing the best resources to help them heal or improve their current medical conditions. We have three PPEC locations in Florida and we would love for you to visit one!

First Kid’s: Our PPEC Locations in Florida

A Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center allows Medicaid-eligible children from birth through age 20 with medically-complex conditions to receive continual medical care in a non-residential setting. If approved for this care, children can attend a PPEC up to 12 hours per day while receiving nursing services, personal care, developmental therapies, and caregiver training.

PPEC: Miami

Located in the heart of Miami, this PPEC location in Florida is a great option for Miami-Dade County residents. Whether you live in Kendall, Pinecrest, or Cutler Bay, our Miami location serves any resident of South Florida who comes through our doors.

A PPEC center is like a daycare, designed to give children with complex medical conditions (also known as “special needs”) quality medical care in the least restrictive environment possible. This environment allows children to thrive as well as their parents.

For parents of children with complex medical needs, the challenge of finding quality child care can be overwhelming. For many of these parents, leaving their jobs to be full-time caretakers is not an option. They need income and healthcare benefits to help offset the costs of caring for a child with complex medical conditions.

PPEC: City of Lauderhill

The city of Lauderhill is located in Broward County, so if you live a little more north than Miami, this location may be right for you and your family.

At most PPEC centers, children with complex medical conditions can play and learn with other kids in a safe, nurturing environment, allowing their parents to work or attend school to provide for their families. First Kid’s PPEC offers more than just the typical healthcare provided at hospitals or doctor’s offices. We provide medical, nursing, psychosocial, developmental, educational therapies, playtime, meals, and snacks.

Along with administrative staff and your child’s physician, we have several Registered Nurses who work as a team to provide the best medical, developmental and educational care for your child every day.

Children who need skilled nursing services on a daily or weekly basis often need licensed physicians to work with them on a regular basis too. That’s why we are proud to be one of the only physician-owned and operated PPECs in the nation.

PPEC: Hollywood

The beloved City of Hollywood has a twin—and it’s on Florida’s east coast! Between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, our Hollywood location is great if you’re closer to the coastal and beach areas of South Florida.

Our mission is to provide our patients with personalized, high-quality care while also providing the best resources to help them heal or improve upon their current medical conditions. At First Kid’s PPEC, our mission is for our patients to make strides to improve each day.

First Kid’s PPEC is the only physician-owned prescribed pediatric extended care facility in South Florida, a medical, PPEC daycare. Our team of professionals is renowned for their work, where many have 20+ years of experience in their fields.

Our PPEC locations in Florida, such as our Hollywood center, provide spacious, open areas for children to learn, play, and receive care. We take the cleanliness and comfort of our patients extremely seriously and we’ve taken additional measures to ensure cleanliness and safety.
